You know what's a pisser? when you're in your twenty somethings and you think you're adult. you look back on your teens and laugh, because BOY WAS I DUMB?! right? right? except... you're gonna have that same reflection every ten years or so. I am 33 and a half years old and I'm STILL trying to figure out if I want to do art for a career or not. I definitely want out of this rat race....it isn't bad.. but it isn't great either.. it's that prickly sensation...that it's just comfortable enough...I could doze a while.. take it easy..the pay is good, the work ain't hard... until BAM! you wake up and three angry bears are growling at you, each representing Christmas's past, present and future and you realize the biggest one is actually your PAST and it's about to swallow you up...I'm mixing stories and metaphors but you get my point. I've been a butcher, a laboratory technician, a screen-printer, I've fried chicken, fried my hair, done pinstriping, almost took an tattoo apprenticeship

So, I'm really liking the new DA; it feels very professional and the gallery block system works well with my things. i post more scraps and sketches, and always felt bad about not having finished stuff to put out, but i really love my sketches. Having them divided up is a nice way to display them whilst keeping them separate from the very polished digital renderings. Hmm.... So, momma past away suddenly in her sleep last June (2018) and it has shaken up the estate situation--AGAIN. I wasn't the kindest towards her, and I miss her terribly. Dad has been diagnosed with small cell cancer in his lungs, and as of last week, it's in his lymph nodes as well. I was blessed to drive him back home to Northern California in July; It was a great cross-country roadtrip and opportunity to get to know him. He has a Dodge conversion van and although overpacked, it was faithful and comfortable for the journey. took us two weeks--we stayed a while with old friends in Tennessee--HI
